Interview trip to China

1st October 2008

Tampere-based cleaning and property maintenance company HHKP. contacted FutuVision Eu-Sino to search for motivated and hard-working cleaners from China. During summer 2008 a language and culture training was organized in China for 21 ambitious cleaner candidates and in September the interview and recruitment trip was then organized.

Tiina Takkinen, the administrative manager from HHKP, says that she was surprised of the language skills that the workers had gained: "It was amazing to realize how much they had learned in such a short time. It was also great to see how motivated everybody were." The company recruited 14 workers of which 9 will come to Finland in January 2009 and the 5 other in August 2009. FutuVision Eu-Sino will also search jobs for the remaining course participants within a year, otherwise they will get their course fees reimbursed.

All workers who come through FutuVision Eu-Sino to work in Finland will attend a 3-month language and culture training in China. The training focuses on vocabulary and discussions that are needed in the work place. The teachers of the training come from both China and Finland. FutuVision Eu-Sino sends together with its partner Mänttä regional vocational education centre one assistant teacher to China and his/her main task is to focus on practicing the pronunciation and discussion skills of the course participants.

FutuVision Eu-Sino has invested strongly in the development of the training and together with MSKK, course books for cleaners and machinist have been made. A book for welders is under preparation.
